Following a trip to Scotland in 2017 the Sellers decided to

build a cottage leveraging the lines of the architecture

found on the Isle of Skye, with a nod to the unique

Anglo-Saxon style found in locally in the Townships. The

chalet concept was born, and with the help of designer

Jacques Bellemare, it came to life with all the original

concepts done on paper, a pure tradition. The building site

was chosen to maximize the characteristics of the terrain,

its foundation was set into the mountainside to stay in

touch with nature as much as possible.

upon arrival, the front of the house welcomes you as it

dominates the driveway. The double garage is detached to

offer greater flexibility between country living and modern

day technology such as a Tesla charger

A large "mud room" invites you into the home with its

simple but practical functionality. Ascending the

staircase, you discover the main living area. The 20'

cathedral-ceilinged room will immerse you in nature and

natural light due to the 4 large 8' windows married with

the 2 8' patio doors. The Ilse of Skye concept minimizing

divisions on the east-west axis, allowing morning light to

be transmitted to the south-west-facing side. Additionally,

the main floor is complimented with a "scullery," powder

room, bedroom/office and master bedroom & ensuite bathroom

with large windows framing views of the forest from the

bath.

Downstairs, the Rez de Jardin level boasts a large family

room, with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a cool/storeroom and

the mechanical room with ease of access to the land, Spa or

pond through one of several patio doors. Sealed cement

heated floors and a gas fireplace will keep you warm as you

enjoy the views.

Outside you have the ability to enjoy the land, swim in the

pond, lounge on one of the 2 cedar terrasses, walk on the

trails, or simply entertain friends and family will

enjoying the views of Owl's Head, Bear Mountain, the

JayPeak and Sutton mountain range. Looking forward to
